ImageNPay CEO Michael Donald Joins Panel of Judges for the 2024 ISMC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - September 2024

ImageNPay CEO, Michael Donald, Joins Esteemed Panel of Judges for the 2024 International Sustainability Marketing Competition (ISMC)

ImageNPay, the world’s first image-based digital wallet platform allowing users to personalise their digital payment card, is proud to announce that its CEO and Founder, Michael Donald, has been selected to join the distinguished panel of judges for the 2024 International Sustainability Marketing Competition (ISMC)

The ISMC, organised by Clean Recycling Initiative™, has rapidly gained global recognition for its mission to inspire the next generation of sustainability advocates. The competition challenges students from around the world to develop marketing campaigns that raise awareness of critical environmental issues, particularly textile waste. This year’s competition is expected to be even more impactful, following the success of the 2023 edition, which saw participation from nearly 300 institutions across 63 countries.

Michael Donald, a champion for environmental innovation and sustainability, brings his expertise in digital payments and his passion for social impact to this prestigious competition. In addition to founding ImageNPay, Michael is also the co-founder of The Thin Red Line Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering people worldwide towards more sustainable practices by creating environmental projects in the most biodiverse region on Earth.

"The Thin Red Line’s main objective is to save and preserve the biodiversity of the 13 countries along the Equatorial Line," said Michael Donald. "To support this goal, we have established an alliance with universities in these countries, working on programs tailored to their specific environmental needs and realities." In 2021, ImageNPay launched an international internship program with Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. This initiative led to the creation of The Thin Red Line program; a youth movement aimed at protecting biodiversity along the Equatorial Line to build a more sustainable future.

"I am honoured to be a part of the 2024 ISMC judging panel and to support such an important initiative," added Michael Donald. "Sustainability is at the heart of ImageNPay’s mission, and I’m excited to see the creative solutions that students from across the globe will bring to the table to tackle the challenges of textile waste."

The ISMC’s judging panel is composed of a diverse group of professionals who share a deep commitment to sustainability. These esteemed judges will evaluate the work of participating teams, ultimately selecting the top three campaigns that demonstrate innovation, creativity, and the potential for real-world impact.

The 2024 ISMC also introduces a new award category, the "Africa Award," in collaboration with GreenLead, Corporate Career Academy (CCA) of Kenya, and Tailorlux of Germany, further expanding the competition's global reach and influence.

The competition underscores the importance of education in the fight against environmental degradation. Participating students will attend educational sessions designed to equip them with the knowledge they need to address textile waste and contribute to a more sustainable future.
